New menu, the new Very Berry Spodee Pie and new hours! We have changed our menu over for the spring - Strawberry Rhubarb Crumb, Berry Lavender Crumb, Lime Basil, Banana Cream, Chocolate Cherry Meringue and the Very Berry Spodee Pie! Also, starting this Friday our we will be open late - till 11PM on Friday and Saturday and now opening at noon on Sunday till 7PM.

Starting May 1st - The Very Berry Spodee Pie! Made with Spodee - wine with a kick, the Very Berry Pie will be offered for the entire month of May. Try a slice or as a Pie Milkshake with an added shot of Spodee. Also, on Saturdays from 8 - 10, enjoy a nightcap - a slice of the Very Berry Pie and a complimentary glass of Spodee!

New addition to the savory section of our menu. Spaghetti Herb pie with ricotta and mozzarella cheese served on a spicy marinara sauce.

There are many versions of Shoofly pie, each with their own passionate advocate. Magpie’s favorite is the wet bottom variety, with it’s cake-like top and a side of whip. Some say the name came from the cooling molasses pie invariably attracting flies. See how Magpie’s Shoofly is made.

I found this Butterscotch Bourbon Custard pie recipe in my Great-Grandmother’s cookbook a few years ago and asked my mother if she had ever had it. She remembers having it only a few times as a child, but said it was the pie her uncle Lane asked for every year on his birthday. I’ve taken the recipe and added my special touch to it and now my husband asks for it on his birthday.
